Questions and Answers

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve been a Designer and Contractor for past 19 years. That’s how I developed the design/build philosophy. We take all of the guess work out of the job for the customer and deliver them a product that fits their style and need.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Customer needs to call us in order to make an appointment for an hour on-site and in-home consultation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have the following credentials: Certified Interior Designer by IDC ( Certf. #6873) Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer by NKBA (Certf. #86915) MSc Architectural Studies (IAU, 2005) My company MaNa Design Build has the following qualifications: Licensed & Bonded Contractor – B (Lic. #1010947, Bond # 30008433, General Liability and Workers Comp Insurance)

What types of customers have you worked with?
We do all types of projects. No project is too small or too large. We have built the business around the “design-build-renovation and remodeling” philosophy. Everything from new construction to decks to painting an exterior or interior of a home. Not only MaNa Design Build is a design-build company but also my showroom along with 500 dealership accounts on various materials give us this opportunity to make us One Stop Remodeling Showroom.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be that they have a exact description of the job they would like to have done. I believe in comparing “apples to apples”. Most times, other contractor bids are missing many items and do not include all that is needed to complete a project. We pride ourselves in giving the customer ALL material and labor that is needed. NO extras unless a customer adds on to the job scope. Even then, it is in writing and agreed to.Definitely customer shall look for a qualified company who has a solid background and proven qualifications. All of those licenses, certificates and insurances are just to assure you that you are choosing the right company to do your project. Remodeling is like investment, so invest your money and your time wisely and make sure your investment is long term meaning that when remodel somewhere is will last whiteout compromising the look and not showing wear and tear easily in short term.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Each and every person involved in your project strives each and every day to do the best they can for our customers. We believe in doing the little things right all of the time and know that the final product will be amazing. Because we do this everyday, it is repetitious and second nature to us. Better yet, we love what we do and it shows in the quality. No short cuts and no sub par materials. Typically, clients should ask themselves: Is it the right time to start my construction? Do I have enough budget in comparison to others project to start mine?
